Daily Market Brief

Indian benchmarks opened Thursday on a firm note, with the Nifty 50 gaining ~127 points (+0.53%) to 24,149 and the Sensex rising ~401 points (+0.52%) to 77,392 in early trade. The primary catalyst is a sharp retreat in crude oil prices: Brent and WTI have fallen for a fourth consecutive session, with WTI dipping below $70/bbl.

Nifty Auto (+1.65%) and Logistics (+1.16%) are the clear sectoral leaders, directly benefiting from lower energy costs, while Nifty Metal (−0.79%) and CPSE (−0.18%) are under mild selling pressure.

On the institutional flows front, FIIs were marginal net buyers (Rs 17.90 cr) and DIIs were net buyers (Rs 680.20 cr) in the cash segment on June 24.
